![]() ![]() On a hot day, it is a great way to cool off. We were able to go to the water park area, but it wasn't much to brag about. Other than that, we did not have to wait in line much, as the rain cleared out most of the crowd. My 5 year old and 9 year old loved Legoland! My son and I visited in spring of 2013, and the only disappointment I had with this visit was how much the Lego displays had faded from exposure to the sun. And.whatever you do.don't compare it to Disney - who seem to have all the problems listed above worked out. ![]() It feels like a place in a downward spiral. I didn't like having to shell out extra $$$ for the "games".but whatever. This is not a major amusement 's for little kids. The rollercoasters were short, but fun with little kids. Now the better stuff: - Apple fries are amazing (but it's tough when a fried food is a major highlight!) - The water park was fun. That reminds me.rides were chronically understaffed. We're waiting in line and would like things to move along.this seems so stupid. Rollercoasters would depart with three or four seats empty. Even when there were long lines for some of the rides.the staff didn't make an effort to fill the seats. Construction equipment was left exposed and in view of the crowds. Water levels in ponds were low.several places felt dirty. It's unbelievable they don't have people keeping the property clean. Several of the lego installations were covered with leaves and dirty. The general manager needs to do something to get the staff jazzed up and positive. It's amazing how this separates a great park (and experience) from a bad one. Most of the staff is disinterested and lethargic. Chipping paint, sun-bleached lego installations, closed rides. That said, there were also some redeeming qualities. We wanted to love Legoland, but there are so many things wrong we left feeling disappointed. Travelled with 2 parents, 2 kids (5 and 6) and a grandma. Went the day after Easter (Monday) and crowds were not really an issue. There was not enough time to enjoy all that was there due to rain closure. Other than those frustrations, we did enjoy the attractions that were open and had time to enjoy. While Rescue Academy had 3 workers with only 1 doing the work to put people on the cars. Only 1 "model citizen" to supervise is not sufficient to help the little ones learn to drive the cars. Driving school, my son's car did not move the entire time. Another disappointment is after waiting 20+ minutes for Jr. Public playgrounds don't close due to wetness and neither should those attractions. What the kids enjoy most is line-free attractions to run around like the Forrestmen's Hideout and Pharaoh's revenge, however they were closed due to wetness. While the storm closed down the whole park, I thought we could enjoy that time inside the Imagination Zone- nope it was closed. If we knew that beforehand, we would have picked a different time to visit. The most disappointing issue my family faced was so many attractions being closed. We went during spring break and there were some 30+ minute waits for rides which is never fun. ![]()
